Rider safety starts with who is allowed to drive. Driver safety is the other half of the same system: the people carrying passengers are checked, trained and given the same tools to call for help.
Before they drive
No one drives on the platform until they have cleared a background check. It is the first gate, not a formality applied later.
A valid Nigerian driver's licence is verified, along with the documents tied to the vehicle they will drive.
Every approved driver completes a dedicated safety training programme, which also covers operating and charging an electric vehicle.
Approval is not instant and it is not automatic. Documents are reviewed by the team, and a driver cannot go online until their application and their vehicle's papers have both been approved.
Verification
Driver documents — licence, ID, photo — and vehicle documents — registration, insurance, plate, photographs — are uploaded during sign-up and reviewed individually. Each one shows its own status, so nothing sits in limbo.
Only when the set is approved does the availability toggle unlock and trip requests start arriving.

Drivers get the same emergency button riders do. A driver in trouble mid-trip can raise an alert with their live location and vehicle details attached.
Riders rate drivers and drivers rate riders. Ratings are tied to the trip, so a pattern of bad behaviour is traceable on either side of the car.
Fares settle in the app, so a driver is not carrying a day's takings in cash. That removes a real, everyday risk rather than a theoretical one.
