Four steps from applying to your first fare.
You do not need to own a car, and you do not need to have driven an electric vehicle before. What you need is a valid licence and the willingness to be checked and trained.

Apply
Send us your details and a valid Nigerian driver's licence. You do not need a car of your own, and there is nothing to pay to apply.

Get checked
We run a background check and a licensing review. Your documents — licence, ID and photo — are reviewed individually, and each shows its own status while you wait.
03
Train
Approved applicants complete our safety training programme. It covers the platform, safe driving standards, and operating and charging an electric vehicle — no prior EV experience needed.
04
Get your vehicle and go online
You are assigned a certified electric vehicle from the Sonik fleet. Flip yourself online in the driver app and trip requests start arriving.

Note that only electric or hybrid vehicles are accepted on the platform — but since approved drivers are assigned a vehicle from the Sonik fleet, that is our problem to solve, not yours.
